Pet Care Services

Pet Care Services are customized to fit with your schedule and can be combined with House Sitting Services.
I am a huge believer in kennels for dogs when their family will be gone for more than 2 or 3 days. Dogs need and enjoy more human interaction than cats and we are very lucky to have a kennel in the area. All pets need to be up to date with vaccinations and shots and I do not sit for aggressive animals.
                                                Pet Sitting
Pet Sitting visits last a minimum of 30 minutes each visit and include litter box cleaning, poop scooping, feeding according to your instructions, fresh water daily walking and playtime. A minimum of 3 visits a day is recommended when sitting for dogs. I will keep a daily log of when I arrive and leave and anything else I think I should make a note of. I can also administer any oral medications your pet might need and I have completed a course in Pet First Aid through the American Red Cross.
                                            Midday Dog Walking
Midday Dog Walking is a 30 minute walk especially helpful for the older dog having trouble "holding it" all day or puppies during housebreaking. This not only a great way for your dog to get exercise but save your carpets at the same time!(Poop Scooping is included).
                                               Comfort Care
Comfort Care is very basic. During the heat of the summer you may like to let your dog out in a yard or on a run in the morning and bring them in around noon when it starts getting hot or in the winter you like to let your dog out at midday when it starts warming up.  I can be available to do that and make sure they are secure and have fresh water available.
                        House Sitting

House Sitting Services include a daily visit. Checking furnaces, watering and turning plants. Mail pickup, garbage take out and anything else that you can think of that gives the appearance that someone is home.  I have timers to turn lights on and off and can vary them according to your schedule for weekdays and weekends. I also use TV's and radios that can turn on and off with the use of a timer.
If you like, on the day you arrive home I can stock your refrigerator with fresh milk, juice and other items that you would like.
                                               CareGiver Breaks

When I was caregiver for my mom, I found out how few resources are out there for caregivers. She didn't need a nurse, but she had moderate dementia. I just needed someone I trusted to come in and give her, her lunch or dinner that I would prepare ahead of time. Maybe sit and chat for a couple of hours. Make sure she safely got to the bathroom or into bed and was given her pills at the right     time. I talked to her doctor and friends and they all had horror stories of strangers coming into their home and stealing things, eating the food left for the person they were supposed to be looking after or just not showing up at all, and they were hired through supposedly dependable services! They were also extremely expensive and you pay for their travel time also.
For 2 years I didn't go out to dinner or to see a movie. Grocery trips were fast and furious and scheduled around nap times and TV shows.
Caregiving is emotionally exhausting and at times, overwhelming.
I am not a nurse so I can't help you if your loved one needs medical care or has severe alzheimers but I have been through this and can offer Honest, Dependable, local based help when you need a break.
                                                     Errand Services

On the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month I will be available to pick up prescriptions, dry cleaning and "heavy" items that some folks are not able to do themselves. When I say heavy items I mean large bags of pet food, kitty litter, bird seed, bottled water and things of that nature not to exceed 40 pounds per item. In other words I can pick up 3 buckets of kitty litter if you need, but each bucket can't weigh more than 40 pounds.
                                 On Call Services

This service is for existing Quests End customers only, and is more of an Emergency situation service.
If I am already in possession of your house keys or have been given the knowledge of how to enter your home by you, you may call me if a situation arises where you are unable to get home and care for your home or pets due to an emergency in your family, bad weather or any other unforseen circumstance. Because you are an existing customer I would simply bill you after service has been provided.
